The new Volvo V60 hybrid Plug-In van version will only consume 1,9l/100km, which correspond to CO2 emissions of only 49g/km. The brand announced that this new vehicle combines a diesel motor of 215 horsepower with an electric motor of 70 horsepower, which gives it autonomy of 1200 km.
The first orders can now start being done, but the production will only start at the end of the next year. Even so, Volvo indicates that the first one thousand units will be produced in a special silver color, 17 inches wheels and a front spoiler to improve the aerodynamics efficiency.
The V60 Plug-In Hybrid is able to insure sufficient battery power for 50 kms of driving in electric mod only. It counts with two different modes of functioning: Hybrid (for better efficiency) and Power (for higher power). With this last mode activated, the Volvo hybrid van will be able to reach the 100 km/h in 6,2 seconds. The batteries charging time is three hours and a half in a special charging device. In a normal charging device the Volvo hybrid van will take seven hours and a half to charge.
